Wooden Horse of Troy

Visited Troy first this morning, there are quite a few ruins on the site. In one place there are nine separate levels of excavations where different civilisations have built directly on top of the last. Troy is also home to the famous Trojan horse as depicted in Homers's The Illiad.

Drive for three hours down the coast to Pergamum, an ancient site on the acropolis. A cable car takes you to the top and you can wander around the magnificent ruins. For both places it's best to have a guide or you would miss out on a great deal of the history.
