Turkey and the Bosphorous

I've been blown away by the shear size of Turkey. It's sprawls on both sides of the Bosphorous with lots of minarets breaking the skyline of apartment buildings.

My hotel for the next two nights is the Grand Halic which is just on the modern side of the city but still very close to the main sights. I jumped on a local bus to get to the Grand Bazaar. I jumped off at Eminonu where there were boats making fresh fish kebabs, amazing!! It was then an easy walk through the spice bazaar to the Grand Bazaar. One tip for shoppers, make sure you have a good walk around before you start bartering!

After walking through masses of people I went back to Eminonu and went on an hour and a half cruise on the Bosphorous. It was amazing to see the city on both continents from the water...
