Calder & Lawson House of Travel has been a Waikato owned and operated business for over 28 years. Our team know what makes the difference between a good holiday and an unforgettable travel experience. So wherever in the world you want to go, whether it is travelling for leisure, business or with a group, we will make the best recommendations that will turn your dreams into reality – because we are travellers too.

Community Involvement

At Calder & Lawson House of Travel we see ourselves very much as a local business supporting the community we love and work in. We are proud sponsors of local and regional activities such as Hospice New Zealand., Academy of Performing Arts and the Sir Edmund Hillary scholarship through the University of Waikato. We are also proud to be the very first business in the Waikato to achieve carboNZero certification.

It was important to us that our certification covered all of our travel brands within the Calder and Lawson House of Travel Group, these include – Calder and Lawson House of Travel (holiday and leisure travel), Orbit Corporate Travel Hamilton (business travel management) and Groups, Conference and Event travel requirements, Calder and Lawson Marathon Tours.

As a 100 percent New Zealand owned and operated company, our team are committed to reducing our impact on the environment.
The carboNZero certification is our latest example to demonstrate our commitment to being a genuinely responsible organisation. It complements the work we participate in with our local community such as actively supporting our local hospice through our national partnership with House of Travel and being one of the major sponsors behind the Sir Edmund Hillary Scholarship Programme run through the University of Waikato. We are proud to be making a difference.

Whether travelling for leisure or business we are now able to provide our clients with the tools to support and assist them with understanding and reducing their own carbon footprint.

Judy Harkness was awarded the Runner Up Top Consultant for 2010 at the recent HOT Awards.
